Stephanie's dedication to nurturing talent at all ages is the hallmark of her success. Her expertise and enthusiasm inspires students of all ages to achieve their full potential, creating a lasting impact on the world of performing arts.
In 2022, Stephanie established the Stephanie Roth Performing Arts Studio, offering comprehensive performing arts programming for all ages. Students range in age from 4 to 82. Her expertise extends to teaching private and group classes, musical theatre, acting and audition workshops, directing and producing.
As a coach, Stephanie meets her students where they are, building them up and encouraging them to be brave enough to reveal their best performances.
Stephanie’s Experience:
Stephanie began singing at the age of ten and landed her first professional job at the age of 16. After graduating from Sheridan College’s Musical Theatre Program, she won a role in the Canadian premiere of The Who’s Tommy. Since then, Stephanie has performed throughout North America in a wide variety of productions ranging from classic and contemporary music theatre to fronting various pop and rock ensembles.
With over 36 years in musical theatre, her credits include the US Broadway Tour of RENT, the original Canadian company of The Who’s Tommy, the Canadian premieres of Pelagie and The King of Thieves, four seasons at the Stratford Festival and numerous leading roles in Regional Theatres country-wide.
Favourite roles include Donna in Mamma Mia!; Mary in Mary Poppins; Ellen in Miss Saigon; Mrs. Johnstone in Blood Brothers; Cathy in The Last Five Years; Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music and Maureen in RENT.
In 2023, Stephanie partnered with The Arts Council of Ladysmith & District and was honoured with the New Horizons Grant for Seniors, a federal program supporting senior engagement through the arts. This recognition further highlights her unwavering passion for using the arts to connect with and inspire diverse audiences. The class she created with this grant is called Vintage & Valuable. These weekly classes were embraced by dozens of seniors who went on to share their work in onstage presentations for friends and family.
