I've performed professionally as an actor as well as a musician nearly my entire life, and it's been an immense source of joy and fulfillment.

When it comes to acting I'm fascinated by the process. The active creation of a character, analysis of a text and the collaborative efforts that go into creating a piece of art can all be joyful experiences. I think the work that goes into studying acting directly translates to useful and enriching skills we can use in everyday life.

1 approach the acting process with a focus on imagination and spontaneity. I think an actor's most valuable tool is the ability to access their imagination in a meaningful and authentic way, and through that find joy and freedom of expression.

I encourage my students to improvise, laugh and explore in order to develop a deeper understanding of themselves as well as the work it takes to create art.

When I'm not acting I am writing, playing music or working in my forge as a blacksmith.
